This is a dynamic spreadsheet I created while developing alternate schedules for the Framingham/Worcester Line. It allows you to experiment with different skip-stop patterns, departure times, and estimated time savings from skipped stops.
You can make your own copy through Google Sheets or download an Excel copy (though note that I haven’t tested on Excel, so the formulas/formatting may behave differently).
Adjustable fields marked in grey, allowing you to change: time between “local” stops, time savings percentage for bypassing a particular stop, the service patterns for each stop, the service patterns for each train, and the departure times from Worcester.
All trains must depart from Worcester. The spreadsheet will not work for schedules that have more than 20 consecutive skipped stops. Certain ranges have been locked, with warnings and descriptions of why those fields should not be modified.
